Expo Screen

This document will detail the Expo Screen

1. Sail Logo - Click the Sail Logologo in the top left corner of the screen to refreshmanually refresh. This will reload the screen and loadpull in any changedupdates or changes that might have happenedoccurred since the last timeautomatic the system refreshedrefresh.

2. All Day Counts - OnLocated in the top middlecenter of the screen you will find thescreen, All Day Counts.Counts show the total number of specific items that need to be prepared. These counts can be configured in Backoffice. Use this link to find out more about how to set up All Day Counts

3. Time and Station name - The current time  and the station name is displayed inIn the top right corner.corner, you’ll see the current time and the name of the station you’re logged into. This helps staff confirm they're working at the correct KVS station and stay aware of the current time.

4. Station Settings - Click thisthe Station Settings icon to getaccess configuration options specific to yourthis stations settings. station.
Each station type (e.g., expo, wheel, quick) has its own set of settings that pertaincontrol tohow thatit station type.behaves. Click the link to learn more about each of the station settings.

5. Quick Settings - Click thisthe Quick Settings icon to get to your Quick settings. Quick settings are the same as some of the settings in the station settings icon, but justfor a faster way to getaccess commonly used settings.

6. Bump - WhenThe youBump BUMPbutton is used to mark an order as completed and remove it from the expoExpo screenscreen. thatWhen meansyou itsselect completelyan doneorder, andit haswill been brought out to the customer.  If the order isbe highlighted with a yellow circlecircle. aroundOnce it,selected, thisthe Bump button will be litlight up. Clicking it will remove the order from the active screen and you can clickmove it to Bumpthe Old Orders screen, indicating that buttonthe offorder has been made and delivered to the expoguest.

7. Recall - ThisThe Recall button will bringbrings back the lastmost recently bumped order thatfrom wasthe Old Orders screen. Orders are recalled in the same order they were bumped off the screen and moved to the Old ordersExpo screen. It will bring orders back in the order that you bumped them.

When an order is RECALLEDrecalled, it will havereappear on the Expo screen and display a recall symbol onin the order header
 to indicate it has been brought back into view.

8. Hold - ThisThe Hold button willis moveused theto selectedtemporarily remove an order from the Expo Screenscreen intoand move it to the "Held"Held ordersOrders screen. This meansis Itshelpful when an order should not be prepared right away—for example, if the guest has asked for their dessert to come out later. Holding the order ensures it won’t be cooked until you’re ready to bebring cookedit back and theyfire are waiting until later to cook this order.it. 9. Rush - This button will Move a ticket to the front of the screen so the cooks know this is the next order to start cooking. It will also move any items that have been sent to the quick station to the top of the To Do list

  • In Backoffice there is a setting called "Rush Order Immediately Sends All Items"
    • If Checked: Rushing an order will immediately send all items to all kitchen stations, regardless of cook time. This may result in shorter cook time items being ready well before longer ones.
    • If Not Checked: Rushed orders are prioritized and move to the top of the KVS screen, but still respect cook times. This ensures all items are timed to finish together and can be served at the same time.

10. Online Ordering controls - This section will only appear on your KVS screen if Online Ordering is enabled at your location. It allows you to:

  • Quickly turn off online ordering during busy periods — without needing to access Backoffice

  • Manually adjust the pickup time customers see when placing an order, so expectations better match your kitchen's pace

11. Tickets - When "Tickets" is selected that means you are looking at the New/current orders

12. Held - When "Held" is selected that means you are looking at tickets that are not ready to be cooked yet. 

Here is what the HELD screen looks like.

To move the order back to the current tickets screen, click either the resume button on the order, or select the order and click the resume button on the bottom left

13. Old - When "Old" is selected that means you are looking at orders that have been finished cooking. 

Here is what the OLD screen looks like.

To move the order back to the current tickets screen, click either the recall button on the order, or select the order and click the recall button on the bottom left
