How to filter/sort payments

This document will detailshow how to enterfilter tipsand sort payments

  • The items in red are the same as the Orders View screen.

  1. NavigateTable toNumber - This is the paymentstable screen open to the payments screen.

  2. Locate the payment that you would like to enter a tip on.

    1. When you open the payment screen it will default to credit card transactions that are still pending a tip.

    3. Tender Types - This will list the systemtender set up to require a tip to be entered on all credit transactions in order fortype the serverpayment closewas tomade work.with.

    4. ACard promptExpiration will- appearThis asking foris the tipcredit amount.card's Theexpiration system will default to a dollar value. If the tip has a cent value you will need to add the decimal point to separate dollars and cents or the system will interpret the entire tip in dollars.

    5. Once the tip has been entered the system will ask for confirmation of the new total with the tip added.

    6. Once the tip has been entered you can see the tip listed and the payment will no longer be a pending transaction.

    7. You can select multiple payments to enter a tip on more that one transaction at a time.date.

      1. TheIf tipthe tender type is not a credit card, this area will beremain the same for all selected transactions.

      2. Zero dollar tips need to be entered or you will not be able to complete a server close at the end of the day


    Filter Payments

    There are several ways to filter the transactions you are seeing.

    1. The first “Showing” button indicates whose payments your looking at. This is only accessible if the account that is logged in has or has been given manager access rights. If access rights are not available the button will be grayed out.

      1. The payments screen defaults to show the payments of the server or bartender that is logged in.

      2. Select the button to choose a different server from the list below to see other servers orders.

    2. TheCard secondSuffix “Showing”- buttonThis filtersis whatthe typelast 4 digits of paymentsthe arecredit showing.

    4. PendingPayment paymentsID are- unadjustedThis payments.is the payment ID that will also be at the bottom of the credit card receipt.

    6. FilteringTip Amount - This is the tip amount put in by “Showing”the server/bartender.

      1. If no tip has been entered, this section will be blank and the payment will be in a pending state.

    7. Total Amount - This is howthe total amount of the sale

      1. If a tip is entered, the total will be the sale amount + the tip amount.

      2. If there is no tip entered, the total will be the same as the sales amount.

    8. Server’s Name - This is the name of the server/bartender that this order is assigned to.

    9. Order ID Number - This is the last 4 digits of the Transaction ID number.

     

     

    In the Edit Tips screen you findcan Giftnow cardssort by more options!

    1. Showing Server - This will show you the current user who is signed into the terminal.

      1. If you have access level “View All Payments” you will be able to select that needbutton toand havechoose theirthe tipsserver/bartenders adjusted. payments.

    2. :new: TheShowing “Sorting- by”This new button will allow you to thetoggle rightbetween changes“Pending theTips” sortand order“All” payments

      1. Pending Tips - still need a tip entered.

      2. All - Shows both pending and entered tips.

    3. :new: Showing Tender - This will allow you to easily select which tender type you are viewing. When you select this button a list of all your tender types will appear.

      1. **Non-Cash** will show you every tender type except for cash. This allows you to easily see all of the payments that areyou showing.can enter tips on.

      2. **All** Will show you all payments with cash included.

    4. Edit

        Now that we have added this new information to the button, we also have the ability to sort the orders by any of those fields!

          would like to adjust then select it and press enter tip or double click it.

        • Enter the full amount of the new tip and press enter.

        • You will be asked to confirm the new total with the tip added.

    Handheld

    1. Once you have made the payment with the handheld you can add the tip to the payment in the payments screen.

      1. Select the payment you wish to edit

      2. Click Enter Tip

      3. Type in the tip amount, hit done. Then confirm the total is the correct amount.

      4. Once the tip has been entered, that payment will disappear from that screen
