Updating your Google Business Profile, Facebook, and Instagram

Google Business Profile

Your Google listing is how most customers find you.

If You Have Access:

  2. Log in
  3. Select [Your Business Name]
  4. Click Edit Profile
  5. Click Contact
  6. Update Website URL
  7. Save

If You DO NOT Have Access

You must request ownership.
Step 1 - Find Your Business Listing
Search your business on Google.
Step 2 - Click:
👉 â€śOwn this business?”
or
👉 â€śClaim this business”
Step 3 - Request Access
Follow prompts to verify ownership.
Google may verify by:
  • Phone call
  • Email
  • Video verification
  • Mail postcard
⚠️ Previous owners will have 3–7 days to respond.
If they do not respond, Google typically grants access.

Facebook and Instagram

Facebook
  1. Go to your Page
  2. Edit Page Info
  3. Update Website field
Instagram
  1. Edit Profile
  2. Update Website link in bio

If You DO NOT Have Access (Previous Owners Still Control It)

Facebook Page Recovery:
  2. Select Business Page Access Issue
  3. Upload proof:
    • Business license
    • Ownership paperwork
    • Utility bill with business name

Facebook will review and transfer ownership.
