Item: Modifiers Tab
The Modifiers tab covers two different relationships: which modifier sets this item prompts for when it's ordered, and — if this item is used as a modifier itself — which other items' modifier sets it belongs to. It's broken into three sections: Prompted Sets, Associated Sets, and Flow.
Prompted Sets
A list of the modifier sets this item prompts for when it's ordered — sauces, sides, temperature, and so on. Click + New Prompted Modifier Set to add one.
Title — the label shown at the terminal when this modifier set prompts.
Modifier Set — which pre-built modifier set this prompt pulls its options from.
Context Filter — restricts when this modifier set prompts, using the same rules-based filters described elsewhere (Settings > Context Filters).
In Store / Online / DSP — which ordering channels this modifier set prompts on.
Collapsed — only applies to Online (OLO) orders — whether the modifier's choices start collapsed (customer has to tap to expand) or open by default.
Min / Max — the minimum and maximum number of selections a customer can make. Setting Min to 0 lets them skip the modifier set entirely.
Qty Included In Price / Included Price Override — how many of the selections are included at a set price rather than their normal price. For example, a salad with two free dressing choices, then $0.50 for each additional one, would use a Qty Included In Price of 2 and an Included Price Override of $0.00.
If there's more than one prompted modifier set, they can be reordered — grab the three lines to the left of the set's name and drag it up or down to change the order they prompt in.
Editing a prompted set also has two settings:
Skip Child Prompted Modifiers — if one of the modifier choices itself has its own prompted modifier sets, this skips prompting those nested ones.
Skip Included Modifier Cook Times — excludes the modifiers' own cook times (the Modifier Cook Time field on the Kitchen tab) from adding to this item's total displayed cook time. This does it for every modifier in the set at once — Modifier Cook Time on the individual item is how you'd override just that one.
Most of these settings are configured when the modifier set itself is set up, but Min, Max, Qty Included In Price, Included Price Override, and Skip Child Prompted Modifiers can each be overridden for this item individually.
Associated Sets
If this item is used as a modifier, Associated Sets is the reverse of Prompted Sets — it lists every modifier set this item is a selectable option within, across your whole system.
Take bacon as an example. It might be a modifier option inside 15 different sets — Breakfast Sandwich Meats, Omelette Add Ins, Pizza Toppings, and so on. Associated Sets shows every one of them in a single list. That comes in handy when bacon's price changes: instead of opening each of those 15 sets individually, you can bulk-edit the price right from this tab.
Modifier Set — the modifier set this item is a selectable option within.
Modifier Type — every modifier set is built around a type when it's created (a simple on/off toggle, a quantity, prep/action words placed before the item, and so on). This column lets you override which type this item uses within that particular set. For example, the All Ingredients set normally uses prep words like Add, Sub, No, and Extra — but for instruction-style entries in that same set, like "See Server" or "Well Done," the type is overridden to a plain toggle so those prep words don't get added in front of them.
Location — which store(s) this association applies to.
In Store / Online / DSP — which ordering channels this association applies to. This lets an item prompt in store but not online — for example, a side-selection set might offer 5 choices online, but staff can be offered more options in store for convenience, without exposing those extra ones online.
Price Adjustment — this item's price within that particular set. Leave it blank and the set uses its default price; enter a number and it's overridden just for that set. This is what makes bulk price updates easy — change the default price and every set using it updates automatically, then use bulk edit to update just the ones that were overridden.
Context Filter — same rules-based filtering as elsewhere.
Flow
A visual outline of every modifier set connected to this item, and every option inside each one — useful for seeing the whole ordering path at a glance instead of clicking into each modifier set separately.
Each modifier set appears as a numbered group, showing its title, the modifier set it pulls from, the pick rule (like "pick 1 · 1 included" or "optional · 1 included"), and how many options it has. Options are listed underneath with their price add-on and icon.
Tabs at the top (All / In Store / Online / 3rd Party) filter the outline to just that channel, and Expand All / Collapse All open or close every group at once. Option names are links that jump straight to that modifier item.
