Obtaining Your Website Domain and Next Steps

Part 1 - Purchasing your domain through GoDaddy

Step 1 - Go to GoDaddy

  1. Visit: www.godaddy.com
  2. In the search bar, type the domain name you would like (see what is available for purchase).
Examples:
  • mayasmexican.com
  • mayasmexicanrestaurant.com
  • mayasmexicanmn.com
👉 Choose something:
  • Easy to spell
  • Easy to remember
  • Close to your business name

Step 2 - Select Your Domain

  1. When you find an available domain, click Add to Cart
  2. Choose .com if possible (best for customers)

Step 3 - Checkout Settings (IMPORTANT)

During checkout:
✅ Purchase for at least 2 years (recommended)
✅ Turn ON Auto-Renew
✅ Register domain under YOUR ownership email (not a designer or third party)
You may decline:
  • Website builder
  • Email marketing
  • Extra hosting services (we already built your site)

Step 4 - Create/Login to GoDaddy Account

Create an account using:
👉 Owner’s business email address
(This ensures you always control your domain.)

Step 5 - Send Us Access

After purchase, send mandy@7rendered.com:
  • GoDaddy login email, password
  • OR add us as a delegated user
GoDaddy → Account Settings → Delegate Access → Grant Access
We will then connect your new website.

Part 2 - Things you need to update after you obtain your domain

Because this a brand-new domain, a few items must be updated so customers can still find you (if they apply):

  • Google Business Profile website link
  • Facebook page website button
  • Instagram bio link
  • Online menus or ordering platforms
  • Yelp listing
  • TripAdvisor listing
  • Any QR codes
  • LinkedIn
  • Printed menus or marketing materials
  • Email signatures
  • Online reservations systems

Part 3 - Important Reminders Moving Forward

✅ The new domain becomes your permanent website address
✅ You fully own and control it
✅ No reliance on previous ownership
✅ Future updates become simple and secure

INGAGE will handle the following once your site is purchased:

  • Connect domain to your new website
  • Secure SSL (https)
  • Test all pages
  • Confirm mobile performance
  • Prepare launch

Even if the old domain becomes available later, owning your own domain under your control prevents future issues and gives you full ownership of your online presence.
